November 7: Graham Technique with Natalie Boegel
In partnership with Kinetics Dance Theatre and LucidBeings Dance, BlueShift Dance co-hosts the Baltimore Dance Artists Co-operative to serve the needs of local professionals with FREE classes/training opportunities.
Who? Professional and pre-professional (college) artists are invited to join the co-op. Professional dancers are invited to join the teaching rotation.
How it works: When artists join the co-op, they commit to teaching at least one class per 8-14 week session. In return they are able to take the full session of weekly classes free of charge. The length of the session depends on the number of participating artists. Taught on a rotating basis by a pool of regional professional artists, the cooperative structure is loosely based in modern/contemporary dance but offers a rich variety of instructors, styles, and genres from week to week. Classes span modern techniques, contemporary partner work, ballet, jazz, floor work, conditioning/rolling, and more.
When and where? Co-op classes happen Wednesday mornings, 10:15-11:45am, at Kinetics Dance Theatre, 3280 Pine Orchard Lane, Ellicott City, MD.
Ready to Join? SIGN UP HERE for a teaching spot or come to class to learn more and sign up.
Want to take class but skip the teaching part? A drop-in rate of $10 is available for artists who prefer not to join the teaching rotation.
